We met up with friends Janet, Darryl, and Abby Kooy in Williamsburg, Virginia. The Kooys drove down from Illinois. They were in our travel group to China and adopted Abby from the same orphanage as Ellie.

Abby and Ellie enjoy playing together in Williamsburg. What a blessing these girls are in our lives!

Dear Friends of ours in Asheboro,
North Carolina
RIP Glenn ---- He passed away the Summer of 2009 at the ripe old age of 40; possible cause was brain annurism

Sunday, March 9, 2008, was child dedication at our church, Valley Bible Church in Stephens City, Virginia. We with two other couples dedicated our children to the Lord. Pastor Calvin Lowder dedicated the children and parents.

More photos from Christmas 2007. On New Year's Eve, 2007, our neighbor Rita Lowder played the piano while Ellie beat her Williamsburg drum that Santa left. Together they made beautiful music.

Ellie had a wonderful Christmas 2007! Santa was good to her this year and left just a few toys. Her green pajamas say, "I've been good all year."

She's Baaaaaaaack!!

After far too long, the Little Empress Ellie Bing has returned to cyberspace to share her latest adventures. Take a look at what she's been up to this year!

Well, Ellie's been traveling with Mom & Dad (AKA the Empress Dowager and the Draggin' Lord).

In May we went to New England and New York and saw lots of historical stuff (Boston, Nathanael Greene's home at Warwick, RI, Ticonderoga and Saratoga, NY) -- we really got around!!! She even got to help the tour guide with his hat and stick.

In June, Families With Children from Asia-Winchester celebrated World Children's Day, and Ellie discovered the almighty "SlipNSlide" . . . .

And that's not all! Ellie got "up close and personal" with King Tut in Philadelphia! (She wasn't keen on the spooky "funky" music and the funereal atmosphere, but she LOVED the IMAX film and told everyone for days afterward that she "flew over Philadelphia"!

Daddy hadn't had enough History, so Ellie got to see Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell and even Valley Forge!

In August Ellie was reunited with one her "sisters" from China (adopted from the same orphanage) on a trip to Williamsburg, VA. A carriage ride was a highlight of the trip, and Abby and Ellie's laughter could be heard all the way down Duke of Gloucester Street! More to follow, of pre-school and pumpkins!
